After a summer spent at home, interning at Clean Water Action, it's finally time for me to go back to school. However, this semester, I’ll be trading my view of Pikes Peak for one of narrow streets, winding canals, and quaint, Nordic houses. I’ll be taking classes at the Danish Institute of Study Abroad (DIS), where I am enrolled in the Sustainability in Europe program and will be taking a variety of environmental electives.
And- LUCKY ME- my parents and sister flew to Europe with me to send me off. My mother has been dreaming of visiting Sweden for years, and we eagerly grabbed this opportunity to finally make the trek. We split our ten day trip between the busy capital city of Stockholm and a remote island in the western countryside. We then hopped in a rental and drove across the Denmark border to drop me off at my new home! I can't believe that I'm finally here!

{Rosendal's Gardens- we stumbled upon this park by mistake but all agreed that it had been our favorite Stockholm site}
(NOT a shot of mayo-- instead, a swedish "slow food baked omelet")
{the beautiful view of the north sea from our front porch}
