I’ve just returned from another week
long field trip with my Sustainability in Europe class—this time to
Stockholm!
Our entire week was planned out for us, and our program payed for us to eat a few fancy Sweedish meals! Here are a few doings from the trip:
-a visit to Stockholm Municipality for a presentation
on Sweden’s green economy and energy sector
-a trip to Rosendal Garden for lunch
and a lesson on composting
and a lesson on composting

-a hike in Tyresta National Park
-a meeting with Bee Urban (a small company that sells sponsorships of beehives to major companies in Stockholm)
and a tour of the hives
-a presentation and tour from a sustainable city planner
-an archipelago boat tour

-a presentation from the Carbon Disclosure Project—a nonprofit which
uses the power of investors to encourage companies to mitigate environmental risk
-and a trip to the Vasa Museum, which
displays a salvaged 17th century ship that sank on its first voyage
less than fifty meters from shore.
